Palette Ten is part of my ongoing Palette Series, where the painting literally creates itself. I use a canvas as my working palette while mixing colors for other artworks, allowing layers of paint, movement, and spontaneous energy to build naturally over time. Once the surface dries, I respond to what I see, adding expressive mark-making and playful lines that bring the composition to life.
This piece feels light, whimsical, and full of joy. The loose scribble marks dance across the surface, giving it movement and personality while honoring the organic process that created it. These palette works are a reminder that beauty can emerge from experimentation, play, and the refusal to waste materials.
