Textured figurative abstract painting of a woman playing guitar with birds, created by Nashville artist Beth Inglish.

A Girl and Her Guitar

$1,600

Original Artwork by Beth Inglish

This piece began over a decade ago, painted from a photograph of me playing guitar on a Mississippi day just outside Belzoni near Swiftown. It carries the feeling of that moment — the quiet landscape, the rhythm of the birds around me, and the grounding comfort of making music outdoors.

Over the years, this painting has evolved through many layers and iterations, reflecting my own growth as an artist and a woman. From 2012 to 2023, I kept coming back to it, adding color, texture, movement, and new understanding each time. It has lived with me, traveled with me, and even appeared in my “About the Artist” section at art shows as a visual snapshot of my creative journey.

Now it’s ready for its next home.
This is a piece filled with story, resilience, and transformation — a memory made visible.
