This 8×8 abstract painting was created during an experimental phase where I was exploring texture, layering, and unexpected mark-making. The surface began by applying thick paint to the canvas, pressing and lifting it away to create organic lines and ridges that feel almost carved into the piece. I then built multiple layers of color over the texture, allowing the history of movement to remain visible underneath.
The result is a richly layered abstract that shifts depending on how you view it. Soft and energetic at the same time, this piece captures the curiosity of experimentation.
