This painting began as a movement exercise using a limited color palette. I wanted to explore how much depth and dimension could be created without relying on contrast through color, but instead through layers, motion, and pressure.

Working primarily in teal, blue, and white, I allowed the marks to build gradually, letting one layer respond to the next. Some gestures are soft and dissolving, others more defined, creating a sense of space that feels both expansive and intimate.

This piece is about restraint and trust — trusting that depth will emerge even when the tools are minimal. It carries a calm, grounded energy while still holding quiet movement beneath the surface, inviting the viewer to slow down and breathe with it.
