Awakened

Awakened was created as part of an ongoing abstract mark-making series exploring emotion, embodiment, and inner states through movement and color.

In this piece, I worked intuitively with bold, looping marks and layered color, allowing the painting to emerge through repetition and response rather than control. The gestures are intentional but free, building rhythm, tension, and release across the surface.

This work reflects a moment after ignition — when awareness has already shifted and something internal has come alive. Awakened is not about becoming, but about recognizing what is already present. It holds energy, clarity, and a sense of being fully online in the body.

This piece stands as the culmination of the series — a state of arrival.
