Forgiveness was created during a moment of deep internal work when I was learning how to forgive myself.
As I painted, the black looping lines began to feel like a conversation between Spirit and myself. It felt like I was receiving a message in real time. The words that kept coming forward were simple but powerful: let go, forgive yourself, give yourself grace.
This piece holds that moment.
The flowing marks represent the inner dialog that happens when we slow down enough to listen. The layers of teal, white, and soft movement were chosen intentionally to feel like a cleansing, almost as if something is washing over you. A release. A reset. A gentle return to self.
Grace is not passive. It is an action. It is the choice to keep going, to keep healing, to keep showing up even when it feels hard. Grace is how I persist in my purpose.
Creating this painting was part of my own healing process, and it remains one of the works that holds the most emotional meaning for me. It is a reminder that forgiveness is not a single moment. It is a practice. A soft, steady return to compassion.
