Earlier this week, Nashville artists Megan Kelley, Alexis Agbunag Jones and I went on a secret mission to “dress up” statues in Nashville to show our support for Nashville Fashion Week.
“For years it’s been a tradition in Nashville to dress up Musica when the city celebrates. The Musica Statue even has its own twitter account that says, “We’re naked, we frolic, we play dress up.” So we wanted to celebrate Nashville’s Fashion Week visually, publicly and keep the statue “dress up” tradition alive.” – Beth Inglish
12th and Broad and Nashville Arts Magazine both published articles featuring the beautiful photographs by Alexis and Megan that visually tell the story of the pop up art project.
What you didn’t see in those articles are the photos of us behind the scenes jumping off statues and playing with flowing fabric.
